Description

Inspired by Desirée Ruberti-Dukes (Blackstone Betty) and Todd Toven, this delicious sandwich can be made quickly and easily to feed the whole crew. For this version, I use the Impossible Savory Sausage, but feel free to use whatever sausage you prefer. There are many versions of the "Italian Stallion" sandwich, so make it your own and have fun!

Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Heat griddle to medium. Add a thin layer of olive oil and brown sausage, seasoning with Tutto Italiano. When sausage is halfway-done, add pepperoni and salami.

  2. While the "meat" cooks, add bell peppers to griddle next to it and saute. Roughly chop with your spatula.

  3. Once the sausage is fully cooked, turn down the griddle to low and add mozzarella cheese on top to melt. As it melts, add red peppers on top.

  4. Prepare bread by slicing (if needed). Add meat/cheese/pepper mixture inside bread. Drizzle marinara sauce on top, then drizzle Italian dressing on top. Sprinkle basil on top and cut into sandwich-sized pieces. Enjoy!
